Paws and Polka Dots. Our Designer Collective - Circle Edition collection collaborates with artists and designers across NZ, Australia and Dubai. This collection features designs in a circle mural format, sized at 1m x 1m. Each circle mural is printed right here in NZ on a matte texture. Included with every circle mural is paste for easy application. Words from the artist, Josie... I was interested in creating a portrait that felt both elegant and delightfully silly. The black Labrador's patient expression contrasts with the Dalmatian's fashionable confidence, transforming an ordinary pet potrait into a whimsical character study. Working in oil paint allowed me to build rich layers of colour and texture while keeping the brushwork visible and lively. Every element was designed to spark curiosity and a smile. This painting is a reminder that a little whimsy can make even the most formal portrait feel wonderfully alive.
