Orange Volkswagen Transporter – Paint Correction & Stone-Chip Repairs
ORANGE VOLKSWAGEN TRANSPORTER / FRONTLINE CAMPER
CLEAN • CORRECT • PROTECT
This orange Volkswagen Transporter / Frontline camper came to Colourworld Auto Finish for careful improvement of its existing paint. Selected stone chips and heavier passenger-side scratching needed attention, with the aim of improving the finish while preserving healthy clear coat.

The work completed.
- Exterior wash, decontamination and clay-bar preparation.
- Colour-matched repairs to selected stone chips.
- Reduction of heavier passenger-side scratching within the safe limits of the paint.
- Mostly two-stage paint correction, followed by a finishing polish that also left protection behind.
Before: assess the marks, then choose the process.
Scratches and stone chips need different approaches. Polishing can improve suitable marks in the existing finish; it cannot replace missing paint. We assessed the areas individually rather than treating every defect as something to polish away.

Wash, decontaminate and clay before polishing.
An exterior wash removed loose dirt. Decontamination and clay-bar preparation addressed contamination bonded to the surface before machine polishing. A clean surface makes it easier to assess the paint and reduces the risk of working contamination across it.
Selected chip repairs and careful correction.
We colour-matched and repaired selected stone chips, then worked on reducing the heavier passenger-side scratching. Most of the vehicle received two-stage correction: an initial cutting stage to improve defects, followed by refinement for clarity and gloss. The approach was matched to each area of paint.

Knowing when to stop matters.
Chasing every scratch can mean removing too much clear coat. This job focused on a worthwhile improvement while preserving healthy paint, rather than promising every mark would disappear. Selected chip repairs improve presentation, but are not a promise of an invisible repair.
A finishing polish that left protection behind.
The finishing polish refined the result and also left protection on the paint. This project did not include a respray, ceramic coating or a separate sealant application. Protection should suit the vehicle, how it is used and what its owner wants.
