Mazda CX-5 – Paint Correction & 5-Year Ceramic Coating
MAZDA CX-5 PROJECT · GEELONG & BELLARINE
CLEAN • CORRECT • PROTECT
Heavy swirls and tired gloss were taking the depth out of this red Mazda CX-5. Colourworld Auto Finish carried out a one-stage paint correction, then applied a 5-year graphene ceramic coating to the prepared finish.
The work: full clean and decontamination · one-stage correction with Colourworld A2 compound · 5-year graphene ceramic protection.
Before: swirls interrupting the finish.
The paint needed more than a wash to restore its clarity. The aim was to improve the gloss and reduce visible swirls while staying within the safe limits of the existing finish.
What we did, and why.
- Clean and decontaminate. A full clean and decontamination prepared the surface for correction.
- Refine the paint. We used our A2 compound for a one-stage correction. For this job, one stage gave a sensible balance between improving the finish and avoiding unnecessary cutting.
- Protect the prepared result. The corrected paint received a 5-year graphene ceramic coating. Correction improves the surface; coating protects the finish underneath rather than hiding existing defects.
After: clearer reflections in the red paint.

Would one-stage correction suit your car?
It depends on the paint condition and the result you want. General swirls and light haze may respond well to a single stage; deeper damage can need a different approach. We assess the finish before recommending paint correction or scratch repair.
This CX-5 received our 5-year ceramic coating. Our current core ceramic protection package is 5-year protection, with preparation, aftercare and any applicable warranty terms explained before booking.
