Remove any rust or loose scale with a wire brush or sandpaper, then wipe down with a wax and grease remover.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eOn bare surfaces, prime first with a suitable Boston primer.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eTurn the can upside down and shake hard for two minutes once you hear the ball rattle.
